Its 8:19 on the dot, and im at my Auntie's house in the Hawyard Hills. Im sitting here enjoying the beautiful view of San Leandro and Oakland. The citites lights are gleaming, the air is fresh and quite hot. Nothing like its going to be out there, its below 40 degrees everyday!. But im feelin real good right about now. The excitement is building up and i cant wait to get there. Im all packed up and ready to go. My flight Leaves tomarrow morning at 7am from the Oakland Airport, so that means i got to call it a night early tonight. I will keep loging in everyday once i get there and inform my people on a day to day basis... GONE

Obama Inauguration Journey
Obama Inauguration Journey
Hi my name is Sergio Andres Perez an I am looking for Sponsorship to attend the Inauguration of Barack Obama as the forty-fourth president of the United States.
I am a student at San Leandro High School and also a student-athlete. During the week of Barack Obama's inauguration I will be joining millions of others in a journey to Washington DC to be a part of history. We don't have tickets but we are just going to try to watch from the national mall or along the parade route, both of which are open to the public. Personally what I want to get out of this exciting journey is to experience what it is like to travel and explore. I also want to learn everyday I am in Washington DC. I want to learn more about the history of the United States, visit the great memorials (such as the Lincoln memorial), see the White House, and overall have fun and do exciting things. Its going to be a journey. I am excited to know that I am going to participate, in some form or another, in the historical event of inaugurating the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama. This event will positively impact my life because I will get to see what life is like outside of Oakland.

In order for me to attend this historic event, I have to raise funds to pay for the costs of the travel, lodging, food and other expenses. We are cutting costs by traveling inexpensively and staying at a cabin in a camp site. Your support for this journey is greatly appreciated.
